May Day is the joyous time (called Beltane by many), right between the Spring Equinox and the Summer Solstice when we welcome the flowers springing from the earth. As we rejoice in May flowers, there are many ways to celebrate! It's customary to gather a “May basket” of flowers, or weave them into a flower crown. Perhaps you'll adorn your altar with rose buds and light a green candle!

You probably don't have a Maypole to dance around, so you can get in the spirit by watching this festive video! Dance around a bonfire and profess your love to the object of your desire.

Some crystals to incorporate into your May Day ceremony could be shiva lingam or moqui marbles that represent the balance of masculine and feminine energy or engage with those floral vibes with a chrysanthemum stone!

Burn a cinnamon stick or sage with rose petals. Use calendula, rose petal, lavender and chamomile from our Marion Shop to make a soothing face steam or bath. Drink mugwort tea (but absolutely don't consume mugwort if you are pregnant!) to invigorate your body after a long, heavy winter - just add a teaspoon to a cup of boiling water, steep and strain!
